What is this society about?
The Glasgow University Entrepreneurship Society was founded with the aim to educate students about entrepreneurship, develop their business acumen and inspire them to pursue entrepreneurship as a career path. To help form, share and improve ideas, find talented individuals to join start-ups, develop and improve the skills necessary for entrepreneurship and facilitate networking among entrepreneurial students from different degree areas, from IT through Design to Management.
We have had several successful events over the past year and have built a stable member base, fulfilling the aim of the society to promote the entrepreneurial spirit on campus and show students that starting their own business is a viable option for their future. By providing a welcoming atmosphere, the Society attracts not only students already interested in entrepreneurship, but also students who have never considered it as an option, showing them a way to follow their dreams and transform their passion into a thriving business, giving them the possibility to get involved with start-up companies and providing the entrepreneurs with a platform to recruit talented and motivated individuals from a wide range of degree disciplines.
